Welcome to The Great Kladderadatsch!

Welcome to The Great Kladderadatsch!  This blog will be a source of profound insight and polemic on the topics of politics, technology, economics, public policy, international relations and any other areas that I deem worthy of addressing.

The title of the blog comes from a term used by the German Marxist August Bebel.  In Rosa Luxemberg's work The Mass Strike, she makes an unfavorable allusion to anarchist speculation on the "great Kladderadatsch."  In the Haymarket Books edition of the essay, the editor, Helen Scott, adds in a footnote referencing this term, "A loud noise or uproar.  August Bebel often used the term in reference to the onset of capitalism's collapse."

This blog has no affiliation with, or political affinity with, the discontinued German magazine of similar name.
